Welcome to Rheeze

Picturesque village in the Vechtdal

The place to be for nature lovers and bon vivants

The characteristic Rheezerbrink dates back to the early Middle Ages and, together with the surrounding thatched farms and barns, is a protected village view. The village itself has just over 300 inhabitants and is located approximately 5 km from the town of Hardenberg. From the terrace of our delightful tea garden, you can already see the Vecht meandering through the landscape. You will immediately feel like immersing yourself further in this authentic part of the Vechtdal.

Nature lovers will be amazed by one thing after another here. Large sand drifts, the Rheezerbelten, alternate with forests, beautiful heathland, and meadows with grazing Highland cattle and the most beautiful wild meadow flowers. Prefer hiking with some elevation and beautiful views? The Lemelerberg, Archemerberg, and Besthmenerberg nature reserves are just a stone’s throw away. In short, it is wonderful to stay in Rheeze, in the Rheezer Room or Loft.

Cycling & hiking

Rheeze is located on the Pieterpad stage from Hardenberg to Ommen. The popular Rondom Rheezewandeling is a beautiful circular walk of approximately 13 km. The nearby Oldemeyer recreational lake is also a wonderful place to get some fresh air. We are also happy to advise you on beautiful cycling routes. Whether you want to take a ferry across the German border (LF 16) or follow another cycling route, there are many possibilities. Don’t have a bike at your disposal? Rent bikes or e-bikes with your package; view the options here.
